At the westend of the German island Langeoog, there is a big sandarea that is callen "Flinthörn". This big area of sand is developed by the wind and the flow of the water, that every day streams in and out by the tides. In the big area of sand there is a stream. On the sand there are many wonderfool patterns. If you see them out of the air, from a low alitude flying kite, you can see them in another, never seen view. At that day, when I made the pictures, the sky was blue with small white clouds.

Like a river the stream turnes throu the sand of the "Flinthörn". The way and the size is changing often. At the horizon of the left picture you can see the mainland. Between the island and te mainland there is the tideland. on the right picture you see the kiteline with a steel-ring. I use this steelrings to fix the kite in defferent alitudes at the anchor. The picavet is fixed on two of thouse rings too.
The stream of the water forms the different patterns.
The dark aereas on the top left picture (alitude of the camera
approx 8m) are filled with water. The bottom left pic shows the
bank of the stream. You can see the edges from the differend high
of the outflowing water (alitude ~ 4m).

At this pictures you see the outflow of the stream into the north sea. At this moment the tide was low. Here are different and wonderful colored patterns too.
