Many of my Kite Aerial Photographys arise in the Ruhr district, my native country.
Pictures with the topic "Kite Aerial Photography - Industry (K)Culture" I have marked with this button. The photo of the two bikers arose at KAPing of an art object in the industry culture, the Bramme on the coal mine waste dump Schurenbach.

The Ruhr district has arisen and grown by the coal mines as the most important energy supplier also for the reconstruction after the war. Thousands of workers came with her families here. There were enough work in coal-mines, coking plants and steelworks. How early settlements were built around a castle, the Ruhr district grew around its coal mines and steelworks. The towns of the ruhr district have grown, there were enough apartments for the steel-workers and the miners.
Today, only a few mines, coking plants and steelworks are still operating and some of the winding towers, blast furnace and gasometers are made to industry monuments to show the Industry-Culture in the German Ruhr-District.

Links to other KAPers and more you can find in my Surfers Guide.

I like to be available for questions, suggestions or experience exchange.

I would be very pleased about an entry in my visitor's book.
